The X-Ray Screening Vehicle (XSV) is a quick response vehicle specifically designed to be flexible enough to be quickly stationed as a temporary security screening point for operations without the need for infrastructure setup. The vehicle has an integrated Smith Detection full body scanner and luggage/bag scanner that allows high throughput of screening for both personnel and bags. The vehicle also features awning on both sides of the vehicle to provide shade for security personnel as well as for individuals waiting to be screened.
The XSV has both rotatable driver and passenger seats that can be turned around and used as a working seat for the screening operators. There is also a built in work station with monitors - including a flip down table top for operators to screen individuals and bags from within the vehicle.
The vehicle is equipped with surveillance cameras around it for full situational awareness and a PA system to prompt the personnel to enter the body scanner. Shore power provides power to all the electrical systems so that they can be operated without the vehicle engine running. A built in electric air conditioning system allows for work area cooling.
